Rainbow core or single color?
Single-color sets help children who are learning color names: the red pencil draws red. Rainbow-core sets blend several shades in each stroke and suit kids who already know their colors and want a surprise. The jumbo triangular set is the widest and works wet or dry.
How big are ThEast toddler pencils?
The 12-color sets are 3.4 inches long and 0.4 inches thick. The jumbo triangular pencils are 4.5 inches long and about 0.6 inches thick.
Can my child use the sharpener alone?
No. A sharpener is included in each box, but sharpening should be done by an adult.
Do the pencils erase?
The animal doodle sets have erasable cores. The rainbow-core and jumbo sets are not described as erasable.
Short, thick colored pencils for preschoolers
Children hold their first pencil in a fist, and they press hard. A short barrel removes the long lever that snaps thin pencils, and a thick core, about 5 mm in ThEast toddler sets, survives the pressure. Hexagonal and triangular shapes stop the pencil rolling off a high chair tray or a slanted desk.
